    Description:


    Ultrasonic transducer is an energy conversion device that converts the input electrical power into mechanical power. It is the heart of the ultrasonic welding machine. Only with a suitable ultrasonic transducer can the ultrasonic welding machine be better used.

    This 20 KHz Ultrasonic Dukane 41S30 Converter uses the same piezo driver assembly as 110-3122 standard heavy duty transducer but has a sealed housing and a 24" cord terminating in a mil-spec connector to facilitate use in harsh environments or where the equipment must be hosed down for cleaning. The housing has fittings for 1/4" OD poly tubing to carry dry cooling air to and from the driver assembly. Can not be mounted in a standard Dukane press. Requires the use of 200-1233-10 ultrasound cable. Output thread is 1/2-20.

    How to Choose the right transducer?


    The choice of ultrasonic transducer should pay attention to the matching of input and output, mechanical installation and matching size, and the following parameters should be considered:


    1. Resonant frequency:

    The frequency refers to the frequency measured by the transmission line method with a frequency generator, millivoltmeter, or the frequency measured with an impedance characteristic analyzer or similar instruments. Generally known as small signal frequency. The opposite of it is the machine frequency, that is, the actual operating frequency measured when the customer connects the transducer to the drive power supply through a cable and is energized with no load or load. Because the matching circuits of customers are different, the frequency of the same transducer with different driving power supply is different, and such frequency cannot be used as the basis for ordering.


    2. Transducer capacity:

    That is, the free capacitance of the transducer can generally be measured with a capacitance bridge at a frequency of 400Hz-1000Hz, or an impedance characteristic analyzer similar to the instrument. The capacitance of the ultrasonic transducer can also be measured with a general portable capacitance meter.


    3. Way of working:

    Due to different processing methods and requirements, the working methods of ultrasonic transducers can be roughly divided into continuous working (metal welding) and pulsed working (plastic welding). Different working methods have different requirements for the transducer. Generally speaking, continuous work has almost no pause time, but the working current is not very large, and the pulse work is intermittent, with pauses, but the instantaneous current is very large, and the power in both states is very large. Ultrasonic transducer type and maximum power:


    There are different requirements for the nominal power of machines for different purposes, and the nominal power of the same ultrasonic transducer may be different when used on different machines. To avoid ambiguity, customers should specify the structure of the transducer, such as column type, inverted horn type, etc., as well as the diameter and number of piezoelectric ceramic wafers.
